For some people, an evening out with the family involves dinner and a movie, maybe a walk in the park, or a quiet night under the stars listening to the sounds of nature. Or perhaps a little league baseball game on a Saturday morning. Or a trip to a local attraction or amusement park. Not Reverend Bob Larsen’s family. He and his teenaged daughters, Tess, Savannah, and Brynne spend their free time training to fight demons. What is it like to be a teenage exorcist?

Known in popular media as the Teen Demon Squad, these three girls are following in their father’s footsteps and learning how to drive the demons out of people who are possessed. According to the video you’re about to see, they spend hours a day training for spiritual warfare against demonic entities and learning how to expel them from those they torment. One of his daughters claims she performed her first exorcism at age 13, while traveling to various churches in Africa. Is it bunk, or something more? You be the judge.

Being a part of a family can sometimes mean that you get into a routine that turns ...

Being a part of a family can sometimes mean that you get into a routine that turns into a rut. In turn, that rut can make everyone feel bored and uninspired. Well, obviously that is no fun at all. This year make a goal to do more together as a family. A couple times a week we all get together for family activities. Now I know a lot of you are thinking that you have to have all sorts of money to be able to have fun together and do exciting things, but that is definitely not true. If you are looking for ideas the ones below are low cost and you and your family will love them.

Have a movie night. Going out to the movies is pretty much impossible for us. First of all my husband and I cannot justify spending so much money on the tickets and the food that we have to save up just for the trip. Second, our kids cannot sit still in movie theater chairs long enough for the movie to finish. We do our movie nights at home. Our satellite tv allows us to rent new released movies for about $5 and we pop popcorn, sit in our comfy jammies, and enjoy the show.

Take a walk. This is a family activity that we do a lot in the summer time when it is light out after dinner. All four of us hit the road and take a thirty minute walk, or longer. Sometimes the kids will take their bikes and other times we all just walk together. It is nice to share the time together and it helps the kids get out all their energy before bedtime.

Do what the kids do. When is the last time you colored or did crafts? Sure your kids might do those things all the time, but it is still fun for adults too. Break out the coloring books and glue sticks and enjoy your time with the kids.
